Early life and youth career

Hazard was born in La Louvière, Belgium, and joined local youth clubs before moving to Lille’s academy in 2007. He progressed through Lille’s reserve and senior teams as a teenager.

Club career

Hazard established himself at Lille before moving to Chelsea in 2012, where he spent seven seasons and won several domestic and European trophies. He later joined Real Madrid in 2019 but his spell there was heavily affected by injuries and limited appearances.

International career

Hazard debuted for Belgium in 2008 and became one of the team’s key players for more than a decade. He helped Belgium finish third at the 2018 FIFA World Cup and featured at multiple European Championship and World Cup tournaments.
